Tumor in the lung

Hello,

my father was operated on the 20th of April for a tumor (which was not malignant) in his lung, they completely removed his right lung. After 5 days, he was put into an artificial coma because he had internal bleeding and pneumonia. After 11 days, we had the opportunity to talk to him again. Unfortunately, we could not have a proper conversation with him as he kept talking nonsense. On Monday, he is supposed to come back to the normal ward.

My question to you:
- When can we have a normal conversation with him again?
- What problems will he face with one lung?
Is all of this normal? Almost 2 weeks in an artificial coma, we constantly hear the doctors saying he's doing well, it's going well....

Looking forward to a quick response.
Greetings
