electric shock

Good morning, I got a shock from my socket earlier, but it was only brief. I don't think the electricity flowed through my body because I was wearing shoes with rubber soles. I went to the doctor earlier who did an EKG but couldn't find anything. Do I need to worry about any long-term effects now, or is everything okay? I don't have any pain anymore and I feel fine.
Best regards
Dear Inquirer,
Basically, up to 24 hours after an electric shock event, heart rhythm disturbances are still possible. That's why some patients are monitored for up to 24 hours. If it's a mild electric shock, the doctor can always decide whether you can go home or not.
Otherwise, you will most likely not have any lasting damage. If you experience a rapid heartbeat or other symptoms within the next 24 hours, seek medical treatment promptly, even if it means calling an ambulance.
But everything will probably turn out fine ;-)
