Pressure in the abdomen, just below the last rib.

Good evening,

Regarding my medical history, for several years I have been suffering from severe abdominal pain and diarrhea after consuming certain foods, which I have always managed with Loperamide.

However, Loperamide only alleviates the symptoms, not the cause, and it was particularly bad 14 days ago, so I decided to take action.

I had blood and stool tests done, which showed normal values.

I also had a lactose intolerance test, which did not trigger a negative reaction in me. The results are not yet available, but if my stomach did not react, one can imagine the outcome.

My biggest fear here is of course colon cancer. I have also lost a few kilos, but that is probably due to the fact that I have eaten very little in the last 14 days, sometimes nothing at all.

Now my stomach situation has improved, my stool is normal (soft but without diarrhea), I am watching my diet, but I have had a pressure on the right side below the last rib for 3-4 days now.

It is so bothersome at times that I went to the hospital today or saw my general practitioner yesterday, but she could not feel anything. In the hospital, they did an ultrasound, but my gallbladder, liver, kidneys, and appendix are all fine, which narrows down the possible causes and makes me anxious. The more I read about the symptoms of colon cancer, the more scared I get, especially since the pressure is sometimes accompanied by back pain, and I have read about pain in the abdomen and pelvis or lower back in cases of rectal cancer.

Unfortunately, I tend to quickly project such things onto myself, so I weigh myself every hour now and check my weight. But that's not the point here. The appointment with the psychotherapist is next Thursday.

So my only problem now is this pressure and the fear that it could be something serious. But the pressure is really annoying.

What could this be?

What else can I try to possibly find the cause?

By the way, I am 30 years old, do not smoke or drink.

Best wishes.
