burning in the vagina

Hello!!
I have a question, a few weeks ago I noticed an uncomfortable feeling in my vagina, it feels weird and a strong burning sensation has taken over my vagina. The burning follows me throughout the day, but usually eases in the evening. The burning usually starts when I come out of the shower in the morning, I only washed with water, not using soap. I went to the doctor and my gynecologist said she couldn't find anything serious and gave me vaginal suppositories for the damaged flora, but somehow it's not getting better. I hardly dare to go under water anymore because then it's always the worst. What could it be or what can I do to make it stop? Could it be that I have a too dry vagina? I am female and turned 35 in April if that is important.
Good day,
Your gynecologist has given you suppositories for the damaged flora. Since the flora is obviously damaged, an infection must be assumed.
Please visit your gynecologist again and have a microbiological swab test with antibiogram done.
It could be a bacterial infection or a yeast infection. This may not always be visible during a vaginal examination.
You can manage nonspecific inflammations with Sobelin vaginal cream. However, this antibiotic cream must be prescribed by your gynecologist.
If the suppositories for the vaginal flora cause burning, it is better to refrain from using them. Other substances such as Vagiflor, Vagisan Rephresh, or sanol can be used to build a healthy flora. If you have a local hormone deficiency, an estrogen cream can also help.
It is essential to undergo a thorough examination once again. If your symptoms have disappeared, consider getting vaccinated against vaginal infections with Gynatren. Your gynecologist may offer this as a self-pay service.
I hope this information could be of help to you.
Wishing you all the best,
Dr. M. Schröter
