Side effects of Dekristol

Due to a vitamin D deficiency, I have to take Dekristol 20000 every two weeks. After each dose, I am unable to do anything the next day, experiencing dizziness and drowsiness, which lasts for one to two days. Is this caused by Dekristol? Today it is particularly severe.
Good day,
Yes, because 20,000 IU is a lot! To avoid overdose, you should have your blood levels checked after 8 weeks. If you are already over, I would not continue treatment until I know my blood levels.
You can definitely switch to taking 1000 IU per day, which is much more tolerable. Since overdose is much more dangerous than underdosing, you should monitor your blood levels and, with a balanced diet and at least 30 minutes of daylight per day, suspend substitution in the bright season for old cases.
I wish you all the best and a Merry Christmas!
Sincerely, Dr. Gehring
