Question about cough irritation

Hello again Mrs. Gehring, unfortunately I have to contact you again because of my persistent cough, which has been going on for about 10 days now.

First of all, it's not a real cough, there is also no phlegm building up, it's more like an irritation under the throat (so I guess it's the bronchi), which seems to almost disappear one day but then somehow is more present the next day, but never as strong as, for example, in bronchitis.

If I remember correctly, I have had this before, and according to what you find on the internet, such an irritation/sensitivity can last for a while, only after 6-8 weeks does it apparently turn into a chronic condition...

I am still taking my medication, including Candesartan, which I have tolerated well so far.
I don't have any breathing problems or anything like that!

However, you know me by now, and I am starting to worry. Do you think that a lung fibrosis caused by Lupus is absurd? The symptoms came quite suddenly for me... otherwise probably just a minor infection with sensitivity?

Greetings and thank you

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good morning,

I actually do not work because I have to take care of my seriously ill son. Therefore, please excuse the delay.

You read correctly, six weeks of coughing is definitely normal, after that an X-ray is taken.

Since one suffers from significant shortness of breath with lung fibrosis, you can forget about that continuing.

Sincerely, Dr. Gehring
