Anesthesia despite rash

Good evening, tomorrow morning my son (4.8 years old) is scheduled to have grommets inserted and his tonsils removed. Two days ago, he developed a rash on his face and arms after complaining of stomach pain, and he was tired and weak but without a fever. He also suffers from various allergies (nuts, tree fruits, pollen) and has anemia. Since this afternoon, he has been feeling much better. Should we still postpone the surgery?
Thank you and best regards!
Hello,
since the general sense of illness has already passed, there should be no problem with anesthesia. A skin rash alone shouldn't be a problem. However, please inform the anesthesiologist before the surgery - preferably in the morning by phone. The colleague should always have all information before administering anesthesia. Furthermore, the colleagues performing the surgery should also be up to date. Such skin rashes in children can sometimes be caused by viral infections, which can be contagious to other patients/children. Open communication is important before any surgical procedure.
Good luck!
