Hello,

I will receive a severance payment amounting to 400,000 euros. According to the law, I can donate 20% of my income to charity and receive tax benefits.

Now, the question is: Can I donate 20% of my severance payment, or only 20% of the "fifth rule" (let's leave out the remaining income for now)?

If yes, how reliable is this information?
