ascertainment of the winner
October 7, 2011 | 20,00 EUR | answered by StB Manuela Ponikwar
Today I received an email from the responsible clerk at the tax office, reminding me that I had not signed my sales tax return and asking me to do so promptly.
Additionally, I was asked to submit a detailed (informal) profit determination, also promptly.
My question: I submitted my income tax return electronically at the same time as the sales tax return. Part of the return is the EÜR attachment, which provides a detailed profit determination, although not informally. What kind of profit determination could they be referring to in this case?
Dear inquirer,
Thank you very much for your inquiry, which I would like to answer within the scope of information provided, taking into account the appropriate fee, as follows:
Whether you need to submit signed short declarations after submitting the statements electronically depends on the type of electronic submission. If you have used an authenticated signature when submitting (e.g. authentication through the ElsterPortal), you usually do not need to submit a signature afterwards, as the submission of the declaration can clearly be assigned to you personally.
Otherwise, you will need to submit a signed short declaration, most tax software programs automatically generate these.
The question regarding profit determination is illogical if you have submitted the EÜR attachment. Either something went wrong during the transfer ... or with the clerk.
Simply call the clerk and ask what exactly is still needed and if the EÜR is not available. Direct communication with the tax office is the most efficient way in this case.
I hope this information is helpful and I wish you a nice weekend.
