Self-employed part-time with an additional 400 euro job.

Hello,
I am currently working in a flat-rate taxed mini job. In addition, I would like to start working as a courier driver on the side. My question now is whether this is worthwhile. I will earn approximately 500 - 700 euros per month. Will income tax only be due at the end of the year, and will my 400 euro job then be taken into account for tax calculation, so to speak, taxed retroactively?
Dear inquirer,
Thank you for your inquiry, which I would like to answer based on your information and in the context of your initial consultation as follows:
The 400 euro job is not included in the income tax assessment, as the employer has to deduct flat-rate deductions. Therefore, the mini job does not need to be declared in your income tax return.
If you are single (not married), you should be just below the basic tax-free allowance, which should not result in any income tax. If you are married and file jointly with your wife, income tax may be due. This would depend on the amount of your wife's income.
I hope I was able to assist you in the context of your inquiry.
Sincerely,
Ulrich Stiller
