Borrowing a notebook
September 23, 2009 | 20,00 EUR | answered by Andreas Scholz
Dear Sir or Madam,
I lent my notebook to a friend 4 weeks ago, she was supposed to bring it back a week later, but unfortunately this did not happen. Despite multiple attempts to contact her by email and phone, she always claimed she was not in the specified area (Zweibrücken).
I purchased the notebook from a private individual for 150 euros, and I have the papers which are in my possession.
Could someone represent me in this matter, I would be very grateful to the lawyer.
Dear inquirer,
you are entitled to a claim for return according to § 604 (1) BGB, as it was a temporary loan.
If you do not receive the notebook back, you can enforce your claims for return through legal means. Of course, the prerequisite is that you can prove ownership of the notebook.
If you want to be legally represented in this matter, I would be happy to assist you. Please let me know through my contact details.
I hope this information has been helpful.
Best regards,
Andreas Scholz, Attorney
