Music

I wanted to find out how loud you are allowed to listen to music. My neighbor usually has his music turned up so loud at 11pm that I can't read in peace. Despite repeatedly asking him to turn the music down, nothing has changed. What can I do about it? How long can you listen to loud music for? Greetings
Dear inquirer,
Quiet hours are from 10 pm in the evening until 6 am in the morning. During these hours, all avoidable noises that could disturb others should be avoided.
If this rule is violated, it is considered a violation. In such cases, you can notify the local regulatory office or the police. They may then impose a fine on the disruptor.
The threshold at which a noise is considered disturbing can be compared to the values of the TA Noise. These values depend on where you live:
- 50 dB(A) in commercial areas
- 45 dB(A) in core areas, village areas, and mixed areas
- 40 dB(A) in general residential areas and small settlement areas
- 35 dB(A) in purely residential areas and in spa areas, hospitals, and nursing homes
The designation of the area where your apartment is located can be found in the urban development plan established by the city or municipality.
I hope that my answer was helpful to you.
Sincerely,
Bernhard Müller
