Excessive invoice for fees?
November 28, 2011 | 30,00 EUR | answered by Dr. Dr. Danjel-Philippe Newerla
As the managing director of a company, I have instructed a lawyer to collect an uncalled capital contribution in the amount of Euro 4,300. A payment order was issued by default judgment. The opposing party has raised no objections. An enforceable title is available. A bailiff was instructed. In the meantime, the debtor has agreed to pay monthly installments of Euro 400. A written settlement agreement (calculating the term, interest, attorney fees, etc.) has not yet been prepared by the lawyer. The total lawyer fees amount to Euro 1,730 (approximately 31% of the debt including court costs, as well as the costs that the defendant should have paid and are now being claimed by me). The sum seems significantly high to me. Attached are the lawyer's invoices, please review and provide information on the next steps to me. Best regards.
