Wrist fracture

I have a wrist operation scheduled after a fall on 11/19. I currently have a cast from the back of my hand to my elbow. Since this morning, a large bruise has developed on my elbow and my fingers are turning blue-purple. I only have minimal pain. I am not taking any blood thinners. Can the surgery be performed at the beginning of next week? I am 85 years old.
Dear inquirer, it is difficult to assess this from a distance. Please visit the doctor who applied the cast or go to a surgical emergency room if you cannot reach them. If a bruise develops under a cast, blood vessels and nerves can be compressed. Someone should urgently examine this in my opinion. Regards, c.welsch
