Radius fracture in my daughter.

Hello,
yesterday my daughter broke her wrist.
Attached are the X-rays.
She received a wrist cast yesterday.
Today at the follow-up appointment, we were recommended surgery due to a deviation of the radius.
They would insert a wire.
Today we also sought a second opinion from an orthopedic surgeon. He said no surgery. In a child, he would treat conservatively and immobilize the arm completely for 10 days, and the fracture would be healed after 3-4 weeks.
Our question to you now:
What do you think of the X-ray and how would you proceed or what do you recommend to us?
Thank you very much
Best regards
Dear Ms. Eller,
I agree with the second colleague. The position is not dramatic and indeed, immobilization is sufficient for at least 3 weeks. Check the cast after 2 weeks.
In children, it is a so-called greenstick fracture, where bones and periosteum regenerate very well and a wire fixation would be unnecessary.
What is really important is consistent immobilization for 2 weeks, preferably 3.
And check the position at the latest after 2 weeks.
At the latest after 6 weeks, the fracture will no longer be visible and full weight-bearing will be possible and allowed.
All the best
