Treatment for hallux valgus
Since my childhood, I have been suffering from the misalignment of my two big toes. The right foot is more affected than the left. My doctor advised against surgery and instead suggested wearing orthotics, which I have been wearing for a year now. After sports activities such as jogging or skateboarding, I often experience mild pain in both feet. I have purchased professional shoes for jogging and, of course, wear appropriate skate shoes for skateboarding to cushion the impact on the ground a bit.
But even after long walks, such as through the city, I experience pain in the area of the big toe. Now my question is, when is the best time to undergo medical treatment, as it could worsen in later age. Or if there are other aids to prevent the big toe from growing beyond the other toes.
