MRI complaints cervical spine

For about 1 ½ years now, I have been having problems with my cervical spine. When the pain first started, I was in good shape, doing strength training several times a week, so I ruled out a muscular issue. The pain usually occurs 3-6 days a week. It always starts in the cervical spine and leads to severe headaches after a few hours. When the pain occurs, I have no chance of getting rid of it that day or finding a position that relieves it. Heat, massage, stretching exercises, etc. do not help, only painkillers - at least most of the time. The "main pain" is located between the atlas and the skull. Physiotherapy helps - but only for the duration of the therapy.

My general practitioner and orthopedist could not help me. I have tried following their instructions with 3 painkillers a day, no painkillers, keeping a pain diary, injections, acupuncture - without success. A few months ago, I finally requested a referral for an MRI. The doctor handed me the images in the hallway with the words "Everything's fine!". Unfortunately, there was no opportunity for questions.

I would like to know if you have any ideas where my pain could be coming from and/or what I can do about it. How do the intervertebral discs look? Would an atlas correction possibly help?

Dear inquirer,

the images on Pixum.de are too small to view. You should obtain the exact written findings of the examination and possibly post them again. Disturbances in the upper cervical vertebrae are relatively common and are not always visible on an MRI. I would recommend seeking out a specialized orthopedist or osteopath to have the findings reviewed. Consultation with a neurologist should also be considered. Do you have any questions?
