MRI complaints cervical spine
For about 1 ½ years now, I have been having problems with my cervical spine. When the pain first started, I was in good shape, doing strength training several times a week, so I ruled out a muscular issue. The pain usually occurs 3-6 days a week. It always starts in the cervical spine and leads to severe headaches after a few hours. When the pain occurs, I have no chance of getting rid of it that day or finding a position that relieves it. Heat, massage, stretching exercises, etc. do not help, only painkillers - at least most of the time. The "main pain" is located between the atlas and the skull. Physiotherapy helps - but only for the duration of the therapy.
My general practitioner and orthopedist could not help me. I have tried following their instructions with 3 painkillers a day, no painkillers, keeping a pain diary, injections, acupuncture - without success. A few months ago, I finally requested a referral for an MRI. The doctor handed me the images in the hallway with the words "Everything's fine!". Unfortunately, there was no opportunity for questions.
I would like to know if you have any ideas where my pain could be coming from and/or what I can do about it. How do the intervertebral discs look? Would an atlas correction possibly help?
