Explanation of Findings

Could you please explain to me the meaning of this finding?

The examination revealed a reduction of the intervertebral disc between L4 and L5, which is associated with a right median and paramedian protrusion of the posterior disc profile that extends 3 mm into the spinal canal and presses on the dural sac. There are no signs of intraforaminal compression of the roots.
Also at the L5 level, there is a slight projection of the disc profile that extends towards the vertebral canal over a width of 2 mm, without pressing on the dural sac.

Good day, I am happy to help you further. Simply put: Your intervertebral discs in the two lower levels of the lumbar spine are protruding slightly backwards. However, there is no significant narrowing of the nerves. Therefore, it is essentially a mild bulging but not a full-on herniation of the discs in the two levels. If you are experiencing pain, back exercises/physiotherapy are recommended. Best regards
