After the accident, is it just a mild concussion or something more serious?
Last night, while my wife was organizing a basement shelf, a heavy object (the plastic side of a small lawnmower) fell on or rather slid onto her head, although not from a great distance (20-25cm) and therefore with little force. It immediately hurt a little, she did not lose consciousness and was able to tell me the details of the accident right after it happened. By evening, however, she started experiencing headaches, not extremely strong, and now has slight nausea and dizziness with longer movements. She does not need to vomit. The headaches persist, but are somewhat milder than last night. She is completely oriented, remembers the accident and everything that followed, speaks normally, etc.
Is it enough for her to rest, or should we seek medical attention? Can she take painkillers for the headaches, and if so, which ones would be best? We currently have Ibuprofen, aspirin, and paracetamol in the medicine cabinet, but I could get something else if needed.
