Asthma

Hello,
yesterday my pulmonologist prescribed Junik inhaler spray for my asthma (Stage 1), to be taken morning and evening (1 puff each time) (doctor said it should be blue). However, the pharmacy gave me Beclometasone-CT 0.10 mg inhaler spray (brown). Is this the same as the prescribed spray? I can't ask my doctor anymore as he is on Easter vacation. Is it true that I have to take the spray every day to eliminate the inflammation of the bronchi, and use a different one (SalbuHexal) only when needed? Thank you for your response.
Best regards,
Margita
Dear advisee,
the metered dose inhalers you mentioned are comparable in terms of ingredients, dosage, and therefore effectiveness. Only under these conditions may the pharmacy make an exchange. The dosing frequency you mentioned is also correct, however, this describes the therapy for asthma stage 2 (asthma stages can change over time!). The German Respiratory League has put up an excellent website with a lot of very good information (not only) for those affected (www.atemwegsliga.de) - highly recommended.
I hope I was able to assist you with my explanations and wish you a pleasant Sunday and all the best.
Best regards,
Dr. med. Christoph Schmülling
