High FSH level - premature menopause - desire to have children
A few days ago, I learned from my gynecologist that my values seem to indicate a 'advanced ovarian insufficiency' and that at 37 years old, I am apparently already in the middle of menopause. I am reaching out to you now because I have a strong desire to have children and I wanted to know if it is generally still possible to get pregnant (even through artificial insemination) or if it is no longer possible. I was breastfeeding until 6 months ago (I had my first child by C-section in December 2010). My FSH value is 54, LH value is 34, and estradiol is 22. The prolactin value was normal. Can it be determined so clearly after one hormone test that I am in menopause? What are my chances of having a child?
