Sweating

I have been suffering from depression/anxiety disorder and somatoform disorders for over 3 years, which is why I am feeling very anxious. I have been sweating heavily for the past 4 days, even without physical activity. I experience sudden bursts of heat and sweat the most on my face and below my chest.
Dear seeker,
the secretion of the sweat glands is controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Therefore, even without physical activity, these glands can become active during emotions or mental stress (anxiety sweat, exam stress, etc.). Therefore, it must be strongly assumed that these symptoms can also be classified within their psychosomatic underlying condition.
Of course, you can also visit your family doctor again so that he can rule out a purely physical illness through a clinical examination, possibly supplemented by a blood test. Probably nothing will come of it. Therefore, you don't need to worry excessively now.
Best regards, Dr. R. Berg
