External audit
February 22, 2010 | 15,00 EUR | answered by Michael Herrmann
About 1 week ago, a lady from the tax office contacted us (by phone) and announced an external audit. The appointment was scheduled for the 24th of February at 2 pm to submit the files at the tax office, as there is no possibility in our premises. We do not have a tax advisor for cost reasons. This lady said that a written notice confirming the appointment will be sent. However, this notice has not arrived until today. My question is: should we call again or wait!? Or just bring the documents there?! Thank you for your quick response.
Dear inquirer,
First of all, thank you very much for your inquiry, which I would like to answer based on the information you provided and in the context of your involvement in an initial consultation. The response will be based on the description of the situation. Missing or incorrect information about the actual circumstances can affect the legal outcome.
The written notification with the confirmation of the appointment is called the examination order. The announcement of the examination order is a prerequisite for the start of the external audit. You should note beforehand that the examination order has not yet been received. The auditor can then hand over the order at the tax office.
The scheduling of the appointment will probably not change. If it does, it can be clarified. In general, it can be assumed that the examination date is fixed and the examination order will arrive in time.
I hope this information has given you an initial overview of the situation and remain
Yours sincerely,
Michael Herrmann
