Direct insurance

I cancelled my direct insurance policy, which was provided by my employer, at the beginning of last year. So far, I have not received any statements from either the insurance company or the employer. Through connections, I found out that in May 2012, the insurance company transferred approximately 6000€ of my savings to my employer, and about 4100€ was paid out to me, with the rest being fees. Since then, my employer has paid me 2500€ tax-free through my pay slip (stating it as income). After several inquiries, my employer allegedly has no time to "correct" my pay slips for the past 6 years. Now my question is: Does my employer actually have to "reconcile" all my pay slips, or can I report the taxes due to the tax office myself? Can the employer withhold the company contributions made to my savings plan? It would also be interesting to know if my employer has to pay interest for this time period. Thank you in advance, Ralf Eiler.
