Meal allowance
May 7, 2010 | 15,00 EUR | answered by Michael Herrmann
In 2008, I attended a further training course twice a week, directly following regular working hours.
7:00-16:00 regular work hours, 16:00-17:00 commute, 17:00-20:15 training course.
Can I request a flat rate for additional meal expenses for these days?
P.S. The training course was arranged and paid for by the employer.
Dear questioner,
First of all, thank you for your inquiry, which I would like to answer based on the information provided and considering your situation in the context of an initial consultation. The response is based on the facts presented. Missing or incorrect information regarding the actual circumstances can affect the legal outcome.
Your question concerns the relevant periods of absence in relation to the meal allowance. The decisive factor is the absence from home or the regular workplace. Since the training was attended from the regular workplace, it is evident that the corresponding periods of absence of at least 8 hours were not met.
I regret to inform you that I cannot provide a more favorable response and remain
Sincerely yours,
Michael Herrmann
