Income tax return 2012

I have a case from 2012. In that year, my husband and I filed our taxes jointly. Now, the tax assessment has been revised, stating that my husband and I are required to make an additional payment due to estimated business income that solely pertains to my husband.

This issue now concerns me exclusively. I do not want to be obligated to make an additional payment if possible.

I am considering either filing our taxes separately or dividing the tax debt for the year 2012.

Which option would be financially better for me - and only me? I request a calculation for both alternatives.

In 2012, the tax laws for joint filing were slightly different than they are today. How should I proceed in order to be in the best financial position as the wife?

I have attached the tax assessment for the year 2012.
