Which sports are best suited for weight loss?

Dear doctor,

My name is Lukas Riedmüller and I have a problem with my weight. I am 30 years old, weigh 100 kg at a height of 1.80 m, and feel very uncomfortable in my body. I have tried various diets, but unfortunately without long-term success. I have heard that exercise is an important factor in weight loss and would like to know which sports are best suited for effective weight loss.

I have some experience with sports, but have not yet found the right one for me. I am not particularly athletic and have difficulty motivating myself regularly. I would like to find a sport that I enjoy and can practice long term to reduce my weight.

My biggest concern is that I will not be able to reduce my weight and my health will be at risk. I have heard that overweight can lead to various health problems and I definitely want to avoid that.
