after the thrombosis II

Dear Dr. Schaaf,

We had discussed the red foot/leg several times and you explained to me that it is still a microcirculation disorder that will improve over time.

I wrote to you about this under "Thrombosis progression" and "after the thrombosis".

It has now been a month since I stopped wearing the stocking. I have not noticed any swelling. I have been able to go the whole weekend without the stocking, including a trip to the city. After work, I now take off the stocking and take the train home. No swelling. The leg does not feel heavy either.

What still concerns me, however, is the red foot, the red leg. The whole leg (up to the knee) turns slightly red, but mostly on the inside and on the top of the foot. It goes away as soon as I move. It only occurs when standing.

I have read that microcirculation disorders are not good and can damage tissue. Now I am worried. According to my test results, the blood should be circulating normally again (no clots, no reflux). It's been a month now and the leg still hasn't normalized.

What is going on with me? Can you explain this to me?

Thank you very much.

I look forward to your response.

Warm regards.

Dr. med. Ive Dr. Schaaf

The microcirculation disorders you have read about do not apply to you, it's something else. Your problems will disappear, just not quite as quickly. It may take up to six months for the color to return to normal. Your progress sounds good, everything is in the green zone, you just need a little more patience. It's not summer yet :-)
