Swallowing difficulties after visiting a chiropractor
Hello, I am currently studying abroad (Master's degree in Ireland). Today was the third time I went to the chiropractor. I suffer from migraines and the chiropractor at home helps me a lot in relieving the symptoms. However, today, about 20 minutes after leaving the clinic, I started experiencing severe swallowing difficulties (feeling of a lump in my throat and a constant urge to vomit). Will this go away? Otherwise, I am relatively well except for being chronically tired (due to having noisy flatmates in my shared accommodation). It could also be related to my thyroid (I have Hashimoto's). Can it be aggravated by the neck adjustment? Thanks to chiropractic therapy, I am pain-free and the blockage triggering my migraines is gone. The chiropractor is the best in Dublin and I have been very satisfied so far.
Is there anything I can do to make swallowing easier? I don't think it's a stroke (I was at the chiropractor at 3:30 pm). Otherwise, I am very relaxed.
