Antibiotics yes or no? Diagnosis dangerous? Nitrite high positive

For 8 days urinary tract infection (female, 50 years old). Urinary tract infection several times a year without apparent cause. Urine test strip this morning showed Nitrite +++, Leukocytes 0 (with slightly cloudy urine), Erythrocytes 0, Glucose 0, Protein 0. Urine checked 2 times as I found the result strange. So far tried Canephron, Aqualibra, various bladder teas, naturopath (homeopathy + acupuncture 2 times). Morning urine until the day before yesterday without Nitrite, since yesterday morning always Nitrite positive. Started Cystinol Acute yesterday, as naturopath not available. Due to the Nitrite, I am very worried. Should I go back to taking antibiotics instead?
Dear inquirer,
Nitrite in the urine indicates a bacterial bladder infection. These often heal on their own in women with plenty of fluids and physical rest, but if symptoms persist for over 5 days, it is advisable to seek medical attention. Homeopathy and acupuncture are not effective in treating this condition. Untreated cystitis can lead to a kidney infection.
If you do not have a fever, you can wait until May 2nd (as long as symptoms do not worsen), but you should then visit your general practitioner and ask for a prescription for "Monuril" according to guidelines. This is a well-tolerated antibiotic that only works in the urine. If this does not help, medications such as Ciprofloxacin or Cefuroxime can be considered.
Take care and get well soon.
