Tinnitus

Hello,

since Tuesday I have had a cold with sinus pain. Today it's already a little better, I can breathe again without nasal drops. Yesterday, when I spoke, I perceived a buzzing in my right ear. In the evening in bed, there was a kind of humming or buzzing in the ear. This afternoon it was gone for a while, now it's back. I mainly notice the buzzing when I lie on my side, and it gets very loud when I stand up and bend over. The ear also crackles slightly and sometimes feels a bit blocked. By the way, my ear sometimes feels blocked even when I'm not sick, but it often goes away when I do a pressure equalization.

The buzzing is really bothering me now, is it serious? Is it because of the cold? I read something on the internet about a blocked carotid artery on the side. I had an ultrasound a year ago, so it can't be that, right? And I still have the terrible fear of Meniere's disease :-(

I've actually had this buzzing in my ear for years, sometimes when I've been sitting for a while and stand up. Could it be tension?

Best regards.

Dear questioner, please go to an ENT doctor and have a hearing test done. This has nothing to do with Meniere's disease, but rather with a toxic inner ear damage. You may need cortisone. Get well soon!
