Nerve pain?

Hello!
I have noticed that I get a sharp pain at the pressure point on my head when I lay on a hard pillow. This doesn't happen with soft pillows. The pain then radiates to my ear. What could this be?
I also have headaches on my scalp and a tingling sensation on my scalp in different areas. Not sure if they are related?
Thank you in advance for the responses!
Best regards

Good day,

Your description does indeed sound, as you already suspect, like a mechanical irritation of a peripheral nerve. This can lead to pain or tingling, or radiating along the course of the nerve.

Such pain is usually harmless and will go away if the nerve is left alone for a while. Additionally, you can take Ibuprofen or something similar to calm the situation. If the symptoms persist or unexpectedly worsen, you can have them checked by a specialist (neurologist).
