Infection

Hello everyone,
Last week Thursday, my nose started running and my throat hurt so much that I even had pain while speaking, so I went to exercise on Friday afternoon since I was feeling quite good. I ran for 35 minutes easily, but in the evening I already noticed that I was feeling a bit worse. This continued on Saturday and Sunday, and although I did everything, I didn't do any exercise. Today I'm feeling better, just a bit of cough and a slight cold, but otherwise everything is okay. I wanted to start exercising again tomorrow, but now I'm a bit scared that what happened on Friday might have affected my heart. A year ago, I wouldn't have thought about something like this, but now I'm panicking at the thought of getting on the treadmill tomorrow.

Dear questioner, it is very rare for a respiratory infection to affect the heart. But if you want the official opinion of a doctor on this, it always means to recover first and then do sports. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, C. Welsch.
