Absence of period after suction and emergency contraception pill

Hello,

I had a suction on 02.09.
From 23.09. to 25.09. spotting with older blood (dark, almost black).
On 13.10. I took the morning-after pill (we always use protection, but I was afraid the condom slipped off). On 17.10. I had heavy bleeding that I would interpret as my period.

Now to my problem:

Since before the suction my period came fairly regularly (29-30 days), I assumed that another bleeding would start on 17th this month - but nothing. For over a week, I have had mild lower abdominal pain, similar to period cramps but milder. Because of this, I have taken several pregnancy tests that all showed negative results (the last one this morning).

Could there be a pregnancy (despite over 15 negative pregnancy tests)? Last sexual activity was on 2.11. where actually no sperm entered the vagina (petting), at most pre-ejaculate on the finger.

Or will my period still come? What are these mild lower abdominal pains?

Thank you so much in advance for advice and help!

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good evening,

A pregnancy is absolutely excluded! You can be completely calm and also save the money for further pregnancy tests. 1.) You cannot be pregnant from a pleasure drop on your finger, and 2.) 15 tests do not lie. You are safe.

The morning after pill contains a high dose of hormones, so the withdrawal bleeding (period) is often delayed afterwards. The "hormone mess" and your fear or uncertainty can cause lower abdominal pain. Your period will surely come soon.

Sincerely, Dr. Höllering
