Toddler coughing vomiting

Sorry for the late disturbance. Just a quick question. Our daughter has a fever of 39.2 and a strong cough, she also vomited lightly earlier. She is 1.5 years old.
Now the question is:
Is it advisable to give her a cough suppressant in the evening (for the purpose of sleeping)?
Good evening,
I would wait. Sometimes young children fall asleep surprisingly well, even if they have a cough. If that doesn't work, you can still give them the syrup. Please pay attention to the age recommendation!
Ibuprofen syrup would be useful to prevent the fever from rising to 40 degrees and to enable a peaceful sleep.
Get well soon!
Warm regards, Dr. Höllering
