sensations and pain

Hello, I have been experiencing pain and swelling in my fingers on my right hand for some time, as well as numbness. Initially, it only occurred after exertion, but now it is constant. The pain is worse at night and in the mornings. For about 3 days, the swelling has been visible and the pain worsens when I bend or stretch my fingers. I can barely peel 2 potatoes before my fingers cramp up. For the past 3 days, my right upper arm has been swollen and hardened, with numbness, pain, and warmth.
What I find strange is that in January, a nodule was found in my right thyroid gland, which is also enlarged on the right side. I am currently taking iodide 100 for that. Could these symptoms be related, and if not, what could be causing them?
Hello,
I am happy to help you further.
I would not see a connection with the thyroid gland at this point. A slight enlargement with nodules should not cause such complications in the arm and hand.
However, it is important to further investigate (internally, orthopedically, neurologically) to determine if there is a circulatory disorder or if a spinal problem is the cause, which may need to be treated by an orthopedist and/or a neurologist.
Rheumatological causes or carpal tunnel syndrome should also be considered.
Please have a thorough examination as soon as possible so that the cause can be treated specifically.

All the best and a speedy recovery!
