Night sweats even stronger again!

Hello... unfortunately, I am in a total panic again! Last night I sweated all over my body, and I would say quite a lot. My sheets and blanket are not drenched, but they are damp... I don't understand what is wrong with my body! I reduced the cortisone to 7.5mg the day before, I simply measured my temperature in the evening, it was 36.4 degrees... so everything is fine! However, I noticed when falling asleep that I already felt a slight sensation of heat flashes and a very light form of sweating in a half-sleep state, then during self-pleasure (girlfriend currently traveling) also a quicker warming up... otherwise still no weakness or anything... maybe you can reassure me, I am wondering if I should have blood drawn, but I am terrified of leukemia! The strange thing is that for 10 nights before, there was nothing!

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good day,

I have repeatedly written to you that your fear has pathological traits and has nothing to do with reality! I also mentioned that night sweats are also a side effect of taking cortisone, and that in leukemia a) they are stronger and b) accompanied by other symptoms.

I hope you will soon receive psychotherapy.

Today the practices are really busy because of the previous holidays, I wouldn't even go for a blood test! Maybe in a few days if the night sweats persist, but then to rule out an infection and not leukemia.

Best regards, Dr. Gehring
